A poetry book centered on the theme of feminism, authored by young writer Simran Lath, was formally inaugurated on Thursday evening at the Oxford Book Store situated in the Park Street area of Kolkata. Simran Lath's poetry collection not only delves into the various facets of feminism but also aims to encapsulate men's perspectives on the subject.
The event coordinated by Priyam Marik, brought together literary enthusiasts to celebrate the release of this significant work. Noteworthy, is the design of the book, skillfully crafted by Shraddha Lath.
The Oxford Book Store served as a fitting venue for the inauguration, providing a platform for the convergence of literature and feminist discourse. Simran Lath's poetry book, adds a unique voice to the ongoing conversations surrounding gender equality and empowerment.
Simran, while discussing her work with Taaza TV, expressed that both genders served as inspiration for her poetry. In recognizing the diverse struggles of individuals, she highlighted the subjective nature of people, emphasizing that everyone faces their own challenges. Simran emphasized the need for understanding diverse perspectives, stating, "we live in a world where people are subjective and consider their own problems as the biggest one."
Adding depth to her perspective, she noted that while not everyone may fully endorse the concept of feminism, many individuals, at some point in their lives, have harbored a wish to be born as the opposite gender.
